Travis Scott's first concert in support of his new album Utopia was meant to be epic—but it turned into a fiasco.

The rapper held his show at Rome's Circus Maximus, an ancient arena that's located near the Colosseum, with 70,000 fans. Holding the concert at a historic site proved to be a recipe for disaster for many reasons, per CNN.

At one point during the concert, at least 60 people were in need of medical attention after someone in the audience pepper sprayed into the crowd. Additionally, authorities said that a 14-year-old fan was injured after scaling a wall in an attempt to see the concert for free, plunging 13 feet.

Authorities also told the news outlet that they received "hundreds of calls" from concerned citizens citywide who believed there was an earthquake, as the stadium didn't have the infrastructure needed for so many attendees bouncing to the music—which increased when Scott brought out Kanye West.

After the performance caused so many issues, Alfonsina Russo, the director of the head of the Colosseum Archeological Park, asked for no more concerts of this magnitude to be held at the site.

"The Circus Maximus is a monument. It is not a stadium, not a concert hall," she said to the Italian news agency AGI (Agenzia Gionalistica Italia), according to CNN. She added, "These mega rock concerts put it at risk, including the Palatine Hill nearby." Russo also noted that only operas and ballets should be held in the space.

However, this is not the only time a big concert has been held there, with previous acts including Imagine Dragons, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band, and The Rolling Stones.

The concert was held three months shy of the second anniversary of the rapper's tragic Astroworld performance at Houston's NRG Park, where ten attendees were killed and hundreds were injured while being trampled by the crowd at Houston's NRG Park.
