Travis Kelce’s Style Sparks Searches for Graphics, Double Denim and More

Two-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce is winning on the field and at love. He’s also taking a ‘W’ in the game of fashion.
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and Taylor Swift beau is earning high marks for his tunnel fashion and date-night style. Online fashion retailer BoohooMAN reported that Google searches for “Travis Kelce fashion” have increased 667 percent in the past year, making the NFL star one of 2023’s biggest style stories and one to watch in 2024.

“2023 was the year of Travis Kelce, not only on the field but off it as well,” a BoohooMAN spokesperson said. “From his pre-game outfits to the red carpet, Travis knows what he looks good in, and he is not afraid to experiment.”
Kelce, who described himself as an “impulse shopper” in an interview with the Wall Street Journal last year, is known to wear printed denim, plaid or velvet cargo pants and designer coordinates. The 6’5 podcaster and founder of the sportswear brand, Tru Kolors, also doesn’t shy away from bold prints—be it a Celine palm tree-themed cardigan or tie-dye cable knit set by Camp High.
Consumers are trying to cop his casual but fun style through knits and graphic tees. BoohooMan reports that Pinterest searches for graphic shirts have increased by 30 percent in the past month, while searches for baggy sweaters have increased 56 percent.
Shoppers are also paying close attention to Kelce’s denim style. In September, Kelce was spotted sporting a white denim jacket and matching pants with a light blue abstract print designed by Kid Super, prompting a 92 percent rise in searches for double denim on Pinterest. A month later he sported Louis Vuitton’s monogram printed denim jacket and matching jeans. Both pieces featured an all-over bleached floral motif.
Last April he took the stage during Kelce Jam, his Kansas City music festival, dressed in Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama polka dot-printed denim jacket and jeans.
Decorated denim is a staple in Kelce’s closet, who has traded distressed skinny jeans for looser fits like Who Decides War embroidered jeans and Givenchy’s pink and orange tie-dye jeans.
Pinterest searches for plaid shirts—another Kelce favorite—have also increased 23 percent in the past month, BoohooMAN reported. While he’s been seen wearing gorpcore-inspired plaid outerwear and madras jackets, Kelce most famous plaid shirt is the red and tan Ice cream button-down he wore in an Instagram photo with Swift.
““Kelce has cemented himself as a men’s wear icon, with people searching for his pre-game looks and general style on various social media platforms,” BoohooMan stated. “As Travis’ and Taylor’s relationship progresses, don’t be surprised to see Kelce’s outfits all over social media in 2024.”
