Donna Kelce, Travis Kelce

Travis Kelce admittedly was "a leash kid" growing up.

During a recent episode of Travis' and his older brother Jason Kelce's New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce podcast, the two harked back on their childhood, which, according to Travis, could be a bit chaotic at times. So much so that the boys' mom, Donna Kelce, used to put the Kansas City Chiefs tight end in a harness so that he couldn't run away.

“She eventually got pissed and sick of us getting lost and she put me in a leash,” Travis, 34, said. “I was a leash kid.”

“I don’t remember that, I missed out on the leash,” Jason replied.

While the Philadelphia Eagles center, 35, may not remember seeing his brother wearing a leash, he did remember a few other over-the-top moments from their younger days.

During the Sep. 6 episode of their pod, Travis teased his brother, who is a father of three, by asking if he taught his kids "how to fight the Kelce way." Unfortunately for Uncle Trav, Jason said he's "trying to keep them from getting kicked out of preschool the way I was."

Travis then reminded him, "We both got kicked out of preschool."

Per Jason's memory, he was removed from pre-k over a fight with another child that involved the rarely-seen utensil: the spork.

"For some reason, we were stabbing each other with sporks and I hit him hard enough right in the forehead," Jason said. "I just remember the next day his dad had him under his arm and he had four little spork dots."

As for Travis, well, his competitive nature has always been present, as he credited an intense game of checkers as the reason he got kicked out.

"I was winning because I don't f---ing lose at checkers," Travis said with a laugh, noting that the winner got to continue playing.

"I kept winning and the teacher told me, you know ‘Travis, you have to share,’ and I was like, ‘That's not how it rolls,’" he said. Refusing to give up his seat in the game, he "threw the chair I was sitting in" at his teacher.
