Travis Kelce’s Ex Maya Benberry Denies Insulting Taylor Swift

Maya Benberry, who recently warned Taylor Swift away from getting involved with her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce, is now shutting down rumors that she shaded the "Anti-Hero" superstar.
The Catching Kelce winner reportedly liked a fan comment on Instagram that rated Swift at a five out of ten, adding, “Travis gotta hold the L he out side in public with a FRAIL GAIL Taylor Swift.”
As accusations surrounding the action picked up steam, Benberry, 31, took to her own Instagram Story to shut things down, writing, “I don’t think that Taylor is a 5.” According to Life & Style, she explained, “The initial comment was someone complimenting me so I liked it without even paying attention just like I do every other comment on my page.”
She added that, after "[catching] wind that it was shade," she deleted the fan's comment. “I’m a grown ass woman and I stand on what I say. I am not a coward and if I truly felt that way about her, I would stand on it, just like I am standing on my infidelity answer.”
Earlier the same day, an interview was published in which Benberry addressed her ex-beau's alleged new relationship, stating, "Taylor seems like such a fun girl with a beautiful spirit so I wish her the best of luck but I wouldn't be a girls' girl if I didn't advise her to be smart!"
She offered the singer some advice based on "the man that I knew him to be when we dated," suggesting Kelce had stepped out on her during their brief time together. "Only time will tell but like the saying always goes, once a cheater, always a cheater," she said.
In her Instagram statement, she added, "I wish her the best of luck and I mean that genuinely. He wasn’t the man for me, but he could be for her. Only time will tell.” She further defended herself against fans accusing her of being bitter of her ex's new flame, stating, “And lastly, what I’m not going to do is put on a facade about my experience when asked about infidelity. You don’t have to like my answer. But the truth is the truth.”
