Travis Kelce Details Relationship Red Flags Amid Taylor Swift Dating Rumors

Travis Kelce is ready to write his love story.
As rumors swirl that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and pop sensation Taylor Swift are dating, the 33-year-old NFL player admitted that it "take[s him] some time" to fall in love, but he knows exactly the type of girl he's looking to fall head-over-heels for.
While speaking with Kristin Cavallari for the Tuesday, Sept. 19, episode of her Let's Be Honest podcast, Kelce revealed that one of his major relationship red flags is when someone is "high-maintenance."
"I’m out the door. I’ve never been a part of that," he said, noting that he's disinterested in dating people who are not "grounded."
Kelce continued, "If you’re arrogant or you think you’re snooty or higher or above people, that’s the biggest turnoff for me."
So, what type of person is he attracted to? Someone who's "kindhearted and sweet," like his mom, Donna Kelce.
"My mother is an absolute angel, so I kind of base … who I look at in a significant other based off of … my mother," he shared. "You’ve got to have some sort of sweetness to you."
And when it comes to dating, he's not looking to rush the process. Instead, Kelce is taking it slow and very hopeful "the stars will align" in his favor.
"I feel like you’ve really got to know somebody to take that step and really be committed and be in full throttle," he explained. "I can’t just meet somebody and automatically think that forever is just a day away."
"I think that’s too much and I’m setting myself up for failure," Kelce continued, "I think it takes quite a bit of time for somebody to really get to know somebody and really get to find that affection and love."
"I like to believe that all that stuff will come genuine and natural, and I won’t have to think about getting into that part of my life ahead of time," he added. That’s what I’m banking on."
His latest statements come just a little over a week since a source shared that Kelce and Swift were "hanging out" and a day after the "Karma" songstress further fueled romance rumors by wearing Kelce's birthstone in a necklace.
Given his admission of needing time to fall in love, it may be a bit longer before we know more about the rumored couple.
