Travis Barker's Sweet Gift to Daughter Alabama During Kourtney Kardashian's Health Scare

And there's no denying that celebrity culture has, if not created that impetus, at least encouraged it. Travis Barker, for example, has presented his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, with outrageous, attention-grabbing gifts like a mariachi band and a $160,000 painting.

But, as Barker's daughter Alabama recently shared, often, it's the little gestures in moments of hardship that can mean the most.

Earlier this week, Barker had to leave his band blink-182's European tour as his pregnant wife, Kourtney Kardashian, required "urgent fetal surgery." Thankfully, the procedure was a success, with Barker later posting, "I flew home for a life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby that I’m so grateful went well. I want to say thank you for all the support."

As E! News reports, Barker's 17-year-old daughter, Alabama, revealed that in this moment of turmoil, her father took time to reach out to her to offer a gift of comfort and support amidst the stress. He opted not for any large display but a simple, single-sentence note, which she showcased on her Instagram story.

"You are my everything," Barker wrote to his daughter. "Your [sic] truly the best dad @travisbarker,'" Alabama replied.

For his part, Barker also turned to Instagram to express gratitude for the family he's built over the years, using an Instagram story to showcase daughter Alabama, as well as 19-year-old Landon and stepdaughter Atiana De La Hoya.
