Traveling in a Group? Airbnb Has Finally Solved Your Biggest Headache

We love Airbnb for its dreamy rentals, budget-friendly family options and charitable efforts. Heck, you can even get married in a stunning Airbnb locale. But the one issue we've always had with the accommodations site (or, um, with our friends) was booking for a big group and then having to wait for your travel companions to pay you back. (Cue super-sad bank account.)

But now Airbnb has rectified the situation, launching its split payments option. Was does that mean? You no longer have to foot the bill of your $1,500 rental for your L.A. girls' weekend and then wait six months for Katie to pay you back after reminding her how many times? *Eye roll*

Now when a trip organizer (you, obviously) requests to book a listing, the reservation is put into an “awaiting payment” state, with only your portion of the booking charged to your credit card. You can then hold the reservation for up to 72 hours, thereby giving others in your travel party time to log in to Airbnb and pay their portion. Simple.
