All About Ragdolls

Ragdoll cats come in a wide variety of colors, almost always pointed (darker on the face). Ragdolls can reach about 20 pounds in weight. Ragdolls are very slow-growing; don’t expect to see them full-grown until at least 4 years of age.

These cats are so friendly and laid back that it could put them in danger if left out in the wild to interact with wild animals. Ragdolls are cats that thrive on human interaction. Playing and cuddling with your cat is a bare necessity.

Their friendly demeanor makes them great companions for small children. Your child will love to interact with the ever-so-fluffy Ragdoll cat, and the cat will love the interaction too.

These cats are on the large side, and make great cuddle companions. The breed name Ragdoll is actually given to the cats due to their tendency to go limp like a ragdoll when lifted up. They are really affectionate and just love to snuggle. They are definitely known as a laid-back breed.

Just like dogs, Ragdolls will greet you when you come home. They are unbelievably social creatures and just love to interact with you. Unlike other breeds, Ragdolls like playing with water—which will make things easy when it comes to bath time.

Ragdolls are a low-shedding breed, but would benefit from frequent brushings just like any other cat. They tend to shed more heavily in the spring months.

Ragdolls are often happy living as indoor pets, but may have the tendency to escape outdoors if you let them. They are not very road-savvy and should not be allowed outdoors unattended.

Lastly, Ragdolls are incredibly popular among celebrities including Taylor Swift, Anne Rice, and Jason Manford.
