If browsing the aisles at Trader Joe’s is one of your favorite pastimes, you’re not alone. Shoppers are obsessed with the chain for stocking its shelves with the food and drinks you (mostly!) won't find anywhere else—and not just because they're all under the company's own label. With fall just around the corner, the grocery store will be filling shelves with its signature pumpkin products. If you plan on stopping by on Thursday, November 25, though, you’ll probably be out of luck. Trader Joe’s will most likely be closed on Thanksgiving Day in 2021.

Similar to Costco, Trader Joe’s is known for observing Thanksgiving Day along with New Year’s Day and has modified hours for other holidays, like Easter, July 4th, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Eve. But we encourage you to stay tuned for Trader Joe's official announcement. At this point, it's all speculation based on what they've done in the past until we hear directly from the brand.

Will Trader Joe's be open on Black Friday?

While most stores opened on Black Friday in 2019, the ongoing coronavirus pandemic may impact store openings, and vary state by state. If your local Trader Joe’s is open the day after Thanksgiving, it may not have Black Friday deals—at least, that hasn't been the case in the past. But it can still be your go-to stop to restock on everyone’s favorite stuffing and gravy, because who doesn’t love eating Thanksgiving food for the rest of the holiday weekend?
