Unfortunately, though, not everything comes back. Sometimes our favorite seasonal items never return to shelves. Much to the dismay of customers everywhere, it seems that this is the case with the beloved When Life Gives You Lemons ice cream.

Trader Joe's certainly knows how to whip up some delicious ice cream. Unfortunately, though, there's simply not enough freezer space to keep all of the tasty flavors stocked all of the time. For this reason, they rotate through a few seasonal varieties. And when spring rolls around, many of us look forward to one flavor in particular: When Life Gives You Lemons.
But it seems we're out of luck this year; a shopper in the Trader Joe's subreddit recently announced that this flavor won't be returning. "LEMON ICE CREAM DISCONTINUED, I’m heartbroken," they wrote in a post. "Just asked one of the Trader Joe’s workers when the Life Gives You Lemons ice cream would be back and apparently it’s discontinued!! My heart is completely broken, it was my favorite Trader Joe’s item." Say it ain't so!
They're not alone in their heartbreak. Many users jumped in to commiserate in the comments. "Super super bummed to hear this! :(" wrote one.
"This is the worst news I've ever heard in my life," another lamented.
