Trader Joe’s Is Releasing Cookie Butter Beer Very Soon

Forget all the trendy whipped coffee recipes from TikTok you've been concocting. Trader Joe's is coming in hot with the ultimate quarantine beverage: Cookie Butter Beer.

That's right, the beloved snack treat exclusively from Trader Joe's has inspired its own Imperial Ale–style brew. According to the grocery chain's own podcast, Inside Trader Joe's, Cookie Butter Beer will hit shelves as soon as September, along with some other dessert beer options.

Apparently, it took 18 tries to match the flavor of one of the chain's most popular products. “Trader Joe’s is cookie butter headquarters, so we couldn’t have an okay Cookie Butter Beer,” Trader Joe’s product developer Catherine Rhodes told the host, per myrecipes.com. “It had to taste just as good as what’s in the jar.” Cookie Butter Beer will reportedly contain 9.5% alcohol by volume.

If for some reason you're not that into cookie butter, the T.J.'s line of dessert beers will eventually include a Coffee Peanut Butter Cup Porter, a Ginger Bread Spiced Stout, and a Toasty Cookie Spiced Cider.

Of course, September is still over a month off. Until then, there are a bunch of boozy summer cocktail options available to purchase at your local grocers or online that will easily satisfy any sweet tooth. I mean, you could give this alcoholic popsicle recipe a try, or you could just grab your own gluten-free boozy ice pops for $25 per 12-pack.

Or how about some boozy ice cream by Truly Hard Seltzer? These ice cream pints have up to 5% ABV and come in a variety of flavors.

Basically, if there's a treat you can think of, there's probably some way to ingest it with alcohol at the same time. If not, it's time to work that magic for yourself and hit up TikTok to show us how it's done.
