Trader Joe's Issues Farewell To Coconut Aminos Smoky Barbecue

Fans love Trader Joe’s Coconut Aminos Sauce for its savory flavor that can be used within multiple dishes and serve as a replacement for high-sodium soy sauces. Fans are understandably upset but pleased the classic Coconut Aminos will still stick around. Here’s the latest:

Trader Joe's Issues Farewell To Coconut Aminos Smoky Barbecue Sauce

The news comes after a Redditor on r/TraderJoes posted a photo of a "Soon to be discontinued" sign sitting underneath the Coconut Aminos Smoky Barbecue Sauce at their local TJ's. The user wrote, "Rut-roh, Raggy! Say goodbye to Organic Smoky BBQ Coconut Aminos." As reported by Mashed, when the sauce first dropped, customers used the sauce as a marinade for meat and veggies, and also as a substitute for soy sauce, tamari, and liquid smoke. Now, fans may have to stick to the classic Coconut Aminos or another product, because the chain will no longer stock the smoky BBQ flavor.

Fans React To Discontinued Sauce From Trader Joe's

Understandably, fans reacted with some shock when they realized this will be the last they see of the sauce. One fan replied to the news writing, "WHAT I WILL NEVER SURVIVE." A collective of "Noooos" followed in the comments with one user writing, "Oh noooo, these are so good with the wontons."

Some were worried that the news means the classic Coconut Aminos might also get pulled. A reply wrote, "Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. What about regular coconut aminos?" to which the original poster replied, "I think they're safe. There was an ample supply right next to the smoky aminos, only the regular ones did NOT have a discontinuation sign."

Some fans were glad to see a warning sign so that they could stock up before it's gone forever. Someone wrote, "I've never seen a PSA when they are going to discontinue an item!" Another replied, "I appreciate that they do that, I wish every store did this." The original poster brought up an important point: "It's a double-edged sword, as it might encourage people to hoard what is left (I admit I bought more than I normally would have). On the other hand, if they're trying to create space on the shelf for new products, it's a great way to get rid of something fast!"

Some were less shocked by the news, and others expressed a bit of pleasure to see them good. "I don't know that I've ever seen these in my store. Will look for them before they are gone!" said one commenter. Another wrote, "Good riddance," with a laughing face, followed by, "these were not good! I had to throw my bottle away." Yikes!

Love it or hate it, this may be the last we see of TJ's Smoky Barbecue Coconut Aminos (though they are known to bring back beloved products, so who knows!). While TJ's has not issued a statement themselves (other than signs in the stores), the product can no longer be found on their website, and some customers can't find it anymore. Ta-ta, BBQ Aminos! You will be missed (by some).
