TRACY MORGAN IS one of the many celebrities who has turned to the increasingly popular drug Ozempic to help him lose weight—but as the comedian joked in a recent conversation on The Tonight Show, it's no match for his own voracious appetite.

When Jimmy Fallon complimented Morgan's appearance, the 30 Rock star replied: "Well, that's Ozempic." He then quickly added: "Yeah, but I’ve learned to out-eat Ozempic... I gained 40 pounds."

Morgan first disclosed that he was taking Ozempic during an appearance on Today in August 2023. "I went and got a prescription and I got Ozempic, and I ain’t letting it go,” he told hosts Hoda Katb and Jenna Bush Hager, adding with his trademark humor: "It cuts my appetite in half. Now I only eat half a bag of Doritos."

Ozempic is a brand name for semaglutide, a drug originally created as a treatment for Type 2 diabetes which aids in managing blood sugar levels. However, it has become rapidly adopted by non-diabetics for its ability to reduce appetite, gaining a reputation as the go-to weight loss drug for celebrities, and now any public figure who has visibly lost weight faces pressure to confirm or deny that they have been using Ozempic.

The rapid weight loss effects of Ozempic are also divisive. TV star Kelly Osbourne recently made headlines when she described it as "amazing," while other celebrities have concerns about how sustainable this weight loss will be in the long run.

"I see people who are taking all the new weight loss drugs and that's great, and it's really changed their lives," said Rob Lowe in February. "But my concern always is, okay, now what? What’s the plan for the longevity of everything?"
