Tracee Ellis Ross brought her bold, experimental style to the premiere of Candy Cane Lane in Los Angeles yesterday evening.

The actor walked the red carpet at the Tuesday event in a breezy, mustard-yellow top with cape sleeves that cascaded to the floor and doubled as a long train. She layered the top over a black bralette and styled it with an airy black maxi skirt cinched at the waist with a black belt with a sculptural gold buckle that perfectly matched her large abstract gold earrings. The look was pulled straight from Brandon Maxwell's Spring/Summer 2024 ready-to-wear runway.

Ellis Ross finished the ensemble with black pointed-toe heels with zebra-esque stripes along the sides. For glam, she wore natural, rosy makeup, a slicked-back bun, and a glossy brown manicure.

Ellis Ross is constantly making powerful statements with her clothing.

In February, the Black-ish star visited Spelman College to talk about her natural hair product line, Pattern Beauty, while in a vibrant rocker outfit. The look involved a bright red leather trench coat from Tod's, which she wore cinched at the waist with a matching thick belt, plus big, glossy patent-leather stiletto boots in black from Andrea Wazen that looked like flared pants.

And in March, Ellis Ross made an entrance at the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in a deep purple-and-black dress with billowing sleeves in neon yellow pulled from Erdem's Fall/Winter 2023 ready-to-wear collection. The dress was entirely transparent at the base and featured a floral pattern in velvet panels. The middle was broken up by a peplum detail, and the eye-catching sleeves doubled as gloves.
