When she's not modeling stylish ’fits or promoting her latest project, Tracee Ellis Ross, 51, uses her Instagram account to show love for her family. That was certainly the case on Saturday, November 4, when the Black-ish star celebrated her sister Chudney’s 48th birthday.

The comedic star began her tribute with a video of her younger sister playing with a water balloon while swimming in a pool. “It's too big,” Chudney says as she laughs in the clip. At the bottom of the video, Ross added a caption, which read, “Gosh do I love you. Happy birthday @chudneylross.”

But the Girlfriends actress didn't stop there. She also included a screenshot that was seemingly taken from a FaceTime between her and Chudney. In the candid snap, Chudney snuggles up with her two daughters, Callaway, 11, and Everlee, 4, who sneak their heads into the shot. Meanwhile, Ross can be seen in the bottom right corner.

Chudney is the youngest of Diana Ross’s children from her marriage to music businessman Robert Ellis Silberstein. She currently works as a writer and producer.

The “I'm Coming Out” singer is also a mother to Rhonda Ross Kendrick, 52, who she was pregnant with when she first started dating Silberstein. Then, she welcomed Ross Arne Næss, 36, and Evan Olav Ross-Næss, 35, during her marriage to Arne Næss Jr.

Tracee and Chudney have remained close throughout the years, as evidenced by the many photos the High Note actress posts of her sister. Meanwhile, it's clear that Ross takes her aunt duties very seriously—just check out the Instagram snap below, which Ross posted back in 2021.
