It truly is the end of an era.

Almost two weeks after announcing it would be closing all of its stores, Toys R Us has officially shutdown its website.

If you go to the beloved toy store's site now, you'll see a message that would make any Toys R Us kid sad.

The message reads:

"Thanks for visiting. We have shut down the website for any purchases but our brick and mortar stores are open and holding going out of business sales. You can keep up-to-date with the sale at http://toysrusclosingsale.com and liquidation-going-out-of-business-FAQs. We encourage you to stop by your local store and take full advantage of the deep discounts and deals available. Thank you for your business and support over the years. Sincerely, Toys R Us and Babies R Us teams."

You will see the same pop-up when you go to BabiesRUs.com.

It was revealed earlier this year that the company was facing financial troubles and steep competition from retailers like Amazon. It was ultimately decided in mid-March that all 735 Toys R Us and Babies R Us stores in the United States would be closing.

As the message says, you can still go to your local store and shop sales, which are likely to last until June. Just remember, all sales are final and you cannot exchange anything you buy. If you have a Toys R Us gift card, your best bet is to use it now, or, go to Bed, Bath & Beyond's Cash Card website, to exchange it for a BB&B e-gift card. But you only have until April 2 to do that (read more about how to exchange here).

And with that, we leave you with this:
