Banger racing is perhaps the most aptly named motorsport we've come across, as it is both a contact race series and is worthy of the colloquial title of being a banger. Popular across the pond in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Belgium, and in the broader expanses of Europe, the scrappy, dirt track-based races are where many cars go to live before they truly die. It's also where one English fellow is helping a Toyota Supra live out its last dreams.

That's right, the most coveted of all the Toyota Supra generations is active in a banger racing series in the coastal town of Norfolk, U.K. Originally painted in Toyota's classic Super red, the legendary sports coupe got a coat of baby blue paint and is rocking No. 639 on its side as it slides sideways at the Adrian Flux Arena. With the paint job included, the owner says he is only in around 800 pounds, given that the Supra was meant for the scrap yard.

According to a TikTok comment by the owner of the Supra, the shell was originally meant to be parted out and wasn't road-worthy or registerable again. Even as a prospective drift car, the Supra's past made it too rough for consistent sideways thrashing on pavement, regaling it to life in the banger series.

This is not the creator's first Supra banger build, either. Scroll further down his TikTok page and you'll find an Mk3 Supra, slathered in the same baby blue paint, set for demolition on a loose surface oval. Ultimately, both of these Supras appear to be well on their way to their final resting place, with a recent video of the Mk4 unit showing a significantly damaged front end.

While JDM purists may grimace at such a rare car being bashed around, the alternative reality is one where the Supra rots away in a junkyard. Or, as the owner himself put it, "That's my hobby and that's what I do."
