Tours of historic homes to be hosted in Tyler

TYLER, Texas (KETK) — People can now purchase tickets for the Historic Tyler on Tour event, where people can see the inside of homes preserved over the years.

City of Tyler celebrates grand reopening of Historic Mayfair Building

The event allows visitors to experience some of Tyler’s historic homes while funding other preservation projects.

“Tyler’s architectural heritage tells the story of the city’s development, prosperity, and preservation. Homes from the 1890s to the 1970s are represented, and each property has an interesting history,” Amanda Herterich, executive director of Historic Tyler, said.

People can purchase tickets at any tour home during the scheduled tour hours. All tickets will be $25 the day of the tour.
