Tory Burch Celebrates Lunar New Year With Year of the Dragon Collection

Tory Burch has released its 2024 Lunar New Year Collection for the Year of the Dragon. The 2024 Lunar New Year is Feb. 10, and unlike the standard New Year calendar, is celebrated over the course of several days.

The dragon is a symbol of authority, honor and dignity, and has long represented imperial power in Chinese culture. The Year of the Dragon is viewed as a lucky one, and the is said to bring the ability to harness intelligence, leadership and creative pursuits.

For her 2024 Lunar New Year capsule collection, Tory Burch enlisted model Lina Zhang and her children, Mubai and Anzhi, to star in the campaign. The model and her kids are featured in various settings, including Lina Zhang in a landscape with a red AI-style 3D dragon floating behind her in the background as she wears a dress and crossbody bag from the capsule collection.

Another image features Lina Zhang and her kids on a red couch with various handbags from the capsule collection. Red is prominent in relation to the Lunar New Year as it is viewed as the color of luck. During Lunar New Year, those celebrating will often wear red outfits.

Limited-edition pieces in the Tory Burch Lunar New Year collection feature dragon motifs as well as clouds to represent the celestial realm. Products include handbags, cardigans, card cases, sneakers, earrings, T-shirts and tops. The collection is available at Tory Burch stores and toryburch.com, priced from $98 to $1,998.

Tory Burch had a busy 2023. The brand expanded its fragrance assortment, introducing a new format with fragrance layering oils. The label also hired Morgan Stanely to explore potential options for an IPO, sources said. The company has a multibillion-dollar valuation and currently has investors including General Atlantic and BDT.
