Tormund Was A Lot To Handle In 'Game of Thrones' Tonight

There was so much going on in Game of Thrones tonight – Jamie and Brienne! Arya and Gendry! That horrifying moment of truth between Jon and Dany! – and yet somehow, Tormund of all people might have emerged as the viral star of the night. Everybody's favorite Free Folk alumnus was out here doing the absolute most, particularly when it came to his feelings for one Brienne of Tarth. Because while everyone else in the show is quietly panicking and making preparations for the end as the Battle of Winterfell approaches, Tormund has his priorities straight.

From the moment he arrives, Tormund has his eyes on the prize, although unfortunately he's being upstaged at every turn by Jaime and his lingering, unresolved relationship with Brienne. Tormund is undeterred, though, because while Jaime may have looks and emotional depth and a shared history with Brienne going for him, Tormund absolutely has him beat when it comes to batshit crazy anecdotes!

As everyone gathered to reflect on their mortality the night before the battle, Tormund told Brienne, Tyrion and Podrick the story of how he became known as Giantsbane, and also maybe how he came to develop a kink for giant women. Without recounting it in full, the story involved drinking breast milk from a giant lady and was the very definition of "weird flex, but okay".

A lot of viewers were into it, and could have used even more of Story Time With Tormund.

But we can all agree that the most perfect moment of this episode – Brienne being knighted by Jaime – only happened because Tormund is a feminist and called BS on the tradition that says women can't be knights. And for that, we stan.
