Glen Powell told Rolling Stone he's done doing shirtless scenes in movies. The Top Gun: Maverick star is promoting his new romance Anyone But You, in which he stars with Sydney Sweeney. Will Gluck’s raunchy comedy finds Powell stripping off his shirt (and at one point, the rest of his clothes) several times, most notably during beachside workouts which mirror Maverick’s volleyball match.

But according to Powell, this might be the last time he strips off his shirt for the camera. Not because he’s particularly bashful—his nude photoshoot for Men’s Health disproved that—but because it’s just too much work to stay ripped.

“No, absolutely not,” Powell told Rolling Stone when asked if fans could expect future topless beach scenes. “From here on out, I will have something [in my contract] that says, ‘Please, no shirtless beach scene,’” the actor laughed.

“Look, I’m a corn-fed Texas boy. I have to actually work for this sh-t,” Powell explained. “I’m always down to take my shirt off, but to take your shirt off every day, you’re like, ‘When do I get to just eat ribs and tequila?’ Yeah, it’s not fun. So, anyway, I’m glad we got it done.”

Powell may be slightly more modest in the future, but he assured fans they’ll get their money’s worth when they come to see Anyone But You. “We maxed out our nudity rider on this one,” he said. “Took it all off. Gave the audience every dollar.”

Sweeney also recently weighed in about the public discourse over her own body. Responding to those who said she was objectified in the Rolling Stones’ video for their song “Angry,” Sweeney confirmed she finds strength showing off her body. “I find empowerment through embracing the body that I have,” she told Glamour. “That’s sexy and strong, and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with it.”

Anyone But You hits theaters on Friday, December 22.
