The SAG Awards are one of the only ceremonies that honors both TV and movies.
The 2023 awards season is well underway—and now, the 29th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards are here! The 2023 nominations were announced on Wednesday, Jan. 11 by Emily In Paris's Ashley Park and The White Lotus's Haley Lu Richardson on Instagram Live, and this year's ceremony will, as always, serve as one of the only Hollywood ceremonies to exclusively honor performers in front of the camera, both individually and as ensembles, in both TV and movies.
On the movie side, the marquee film ensemble category includes Babylon, The Banshees of Inisherin, Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans andWomen Talking.
As for TV, Abbott Elementary, Barry, The Bear, Hacks, and Only Murders in the Building took the nominations on the comedy side, while Better Call Saul, The Crown, Ozark, Severance, and The White Lotus led for the drama series category.

How to watch and live stream the 2023 SAG Awards?
The 2023 Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live on Netflix’s YouTube channel.
Future shows will stream live globally on the streaming giant starting in 2024.
“We are thrilled to embark on this exciting new partnership with Netflix, and we look forward to expanding the global audience for our show,” said SAG-AFTRA national executive director Duncan Crabtree-Ireland. “As the only televised awards program exclusively honoring the performances of actors whose work is admired by millions of fans, the SAG Awards are a unique and cherished part of the entertainment universe.”
Last year's broadcast aired on TBS and TNT, but Warner Bros. Discovery announced in May 2022 that it was ditching the awards show.

Who is the 2023 SAG Awards host?
No host has been announced for this year's ceremony.
There wasn't an official host last year for the 2021 or 2022 awards, either. In 2020, Eugene Levy and Dan Levy opened and closed that year's SAGs, but they made a point of announcing that they weren't technically the hosts multiple times.

Who votes for the SAG Awards?
Active members who are in good standing of SAG-AFTRA and who reside in the US and Canada vote for the winners. SAG-AFTRA is comprised of two labor unions, the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, which represent over 100,000 actors, announcers, broadcast journalists, dancers, DJs, news writers, news editors, program hosts, puppeteers, recording artists, singers, stunt performers, voiceover artists and other media professionals.
Who will be honored at the 2023 SAG Awards?
This year's Lifetime Achievement Award will honor Sally Field.
Oscar- and Emmy-nominated actor Andrew Garfield, who previously worked with Field in The Amazing Spider-Man films, will present the award. The SAG Life Achievement Award is the performers union’s highest tribute given annually to an actor for career achievement and humanitarian accomplishment.
