Turning 48 years old today is Jason Sudeikis, the beloved SNL star turned comedy actor, writer and producer who even had those ambivalent to soccer rooting for AFC Richmond in the AppleTV+ series Ted Lasso.

To celebrate the star's birthday, we'll be looking back on some of the highlights of his career, from leading moments to times when he shined in a supporting role.

Booksmart

Directed by Olivia Wilde

Playing principal turned Uber driver, Sudeikis got a chance to display his signature style in creating standout moments as a supporting character in Olivia Wilde's Booksmart. Exhausted by Molly and Amy's academic excellence, he can't wait to see the back of them, that is, until he's driving them around town in an Uber, where an unfortunate mishap exposes Molly and Amy's viewing habits.

Going the Distance

Directed by Nanette Burstein

Going the Distance is an underappreciated gem from Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, but also kicks off Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis as two dudes saying ridiculous stuff at a mile a minute. He plays Box, a guy with a moustache and a dream of attracting older women who want to be transported back to their youth. It's ridiculous but funny.

Horrible Bosses

Directed by Seth Gordon

Sudeikis and Day reunite and bring along Jason Bateman for the ride in Horrible Bosses, where three men want revenge on their awful bosses. Sudeikis plays Kurt Buckman, who works at a chemical company run by Donald Sutherland as Jack Pellit before Pellit dies of a heart attack, leaving the company behind to his incompetent son.

We're the Millers

Directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber

It wouldn't be a Jason Sudeikis appreciation post without mentioning the iconic We're The Millers. Sudeikis starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Emma Roberts, Will Poulter, Ed Helms, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn and Molly C. Quinn in this wild tale of a fake family. A showcase of comedic chops for everyone involved, the film scooped up an Outstanding Achievement in Casting for Big Budget Feature Comedy nomination from the Casting Association of America, USA.

Ted Lasso

Created by Jason Sudeikis, Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer

The most recent and perhaps the most heralded role for Sudeikis is, of course, Ted Lasso. Playing the titular role, we follow Ted as he heads to London to manage AFC Richmond, a struggling English Premier League soccer team. The show has won 11 Primetime Emmy Awards, including four for Sudeikis. Ted Lasso concluded this year with a third and final season and currently sits at #79 in Top Rated TV on IMDb.
