Though we've seen many trends this fashion month, from micro shorts to slouchy shoulders to pedal pushers, four recurring color trends, in particular, have made their way through each major city's respective fashion weeks. Cherry reds, pastel lilacs, royal blues and acid greens have been dominating the runways from New York to Paris, showing an overlap between typical fall and spring color palettes.

Ahead, see the breakdown of each color trend (so far!) throughout the Spring 2024 season.

Royal Blue

Similar to what we called "Cookie Monster Blue" last season, royal blues have taken over. Perhaps designers were seeking serenity from the color's soothing abilities and calming attributes as they designed this season's collections — or, they were inspired by Pantone's 2020 Color of the Year, Classic Blue, which had limited time to be enjoyed by the fashion community due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Pastel Lilac

We're repeatedly spotted yet another color associated with serenity all season long (or maybe we all just need to chill out?). The light shade of purple cropped up on runways like Balmain, Issey Miyake, Carolina Herrera and more — particularly on more traditionally feminine silhouettes, like silk tunic-like dresses and voluminous ballgown skirts.

Cherry Red

Forget last season's bright "Elmo Red": It's all about the cherry-stained look for Spring 2024. Gucci displayed the already-beloved darker shade on leather jackets, patent pencil skirts and blazers, while Rick Owens created flared trousers and bra tops with the hue.

Acid Green

Army and forest greens are the minority green shade seen on the runways this season. Acid green hues have been seen across the world stage, instead — just slightly less intense than neon. Roberto Cavalli brought the color to life with the use of feathers and sequined animal prints, while labels like Gucci and Tod's took a more refined approach to the bright tone by way of structured jackets and duster coats.
