1. Matchbox Twenty, The Eagles’ Don Felder

Rock stars Matchbox Twenty and Don Felder of The Eagles are lending their musical muscle to Hurricane Heroes, a fundraiser taking place a week after the one-year anniversary of Hurricane Ian. Organized by local nonprofit The Charity Pros, which will recognize several of Southwest Florida’s “Hurricane Heroes” during the show. The concert also includes local musical acts Red Hannah, Matty Jollie, Sheena Brook and more. 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. $69-$199. 2. ‘AMERICA’S EVERGLADES: Through the Lens of Clyde Butcher’

Celebrated nature photographer Clyde Butcher showcases his famous photos of Florida’s Everglades at both Arts Bonita locations. Opening reception from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, at the Visual Arts Center. The exhibit continues through Dec. 29. Free. Get half-off normal admission at this annual event at IMAG History & Science Center. Activities include children’s crafts, animal shows, science shows, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office “ICRT” (Ice Cream Response Truck) and more. 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. Half-price admission is $9.75 for adults, $7.50 for college students and children ages 3-18 (free for younger). 4. Roseanne Barr at Mann Hall

The controversial actor-comedian Roseanne Barr brings her touring comedy show to south Fort Myers. Barr is best known as the star of the hit TV sitcom “Roseanne” in the ‘80s and ‘90s. She also starred in a 2018 reboot, but the show was canceled after Barr’s controversial tweet about Valerie Jarrett, a Black woman who was a senior adviser to Barack Obama throughout his presidency. 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7. $40-$100. 5. Foghat at Caloosa Sound Amphitheater

Classic-rockers Foghat are best known for their 1975 rock hit “Slow Ride.” Drummer Roger Earl is the only founding member left in the band. Maiden Cane opens the show. 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12. Wonder Gardens Halloween Nights in the Gardens

This new month-long outdoor event replaces the annual, one-day WonderWeen. Includes trick-or-treating, decorations, special animal-enrichment programs, family games, activities and a rare opportunity to visit the gardens at night. The lushly landscaped botanical gardens feature more than 300 rescued, rehabilitated and non-releasable birds and reptiles. Costumes are optional but encouraged. 5-8 p.m. every Thursday and Saturday, Oct. 5-28 (except Oct. 21). $12 ($7 for ages 3-12, free for younger, $10 for ages 65 and older). The monthly event in downtown Fort Myers features new art exhibits at downtown galleries, receptions, live music and art vendors outside on First Street. This month’s exhibits include the annual “Dark Art” show at Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. 6-10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6. Free. Art Walk takes place on the first Friday of each month. This satirical musical comedy brings to life Snow White, Cinderella and other disenchanted Disney princesses to set the record straight. Contains adult language and themes. Belltober Beer Festival at Bell Tower Shops

Sample fall beers at this Bell Tower fest that includes live performances, games, vendors, a themed photo booth, ax throwing, a cigar lounge, local radio personalities broadcasting live and samples of mac-n-cheese creations from Bell Tower restaurants competing to win a “golden pumpkin.” The fall beers are curated by Suncoast Beverages. 6-9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6. The musical version of the cult-classic 1989 movie takes on bullying, teen suicide, cliques and the pain of high school – all with darkly comic pop-rock songs such as “Candy Store” and “My Dead Gay Son.” The show is a collaboration between Naples’ TheatreZone and FGCU’s Bower School of Music & The Arts. Oktoberfest at Fort Myers Brewing

The brewery celebrates October with four days of special-release craft beer, food trucks offering German-inspired food, live music and a stein-hoisting competition. Lakes Park Fall Festival and Scarecrows in the Park

The annual festival returns with a pumpkin patch, the 13th-annual Scarecrows in the Park contest, hayrides, inflatables and the Halloween Express train ride. The Scarecrows in the Park display features scarecrows decorated as movie characters in the Lakes Park Children’s Garden.  6-9 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from Oct. 13-31.
