Desert Beauty

Easy, breezy dresses, jumpsuits and trousers are (thankfully) reigning supreme as the temperatures begin to rise. According to Schafer, "draping, wrapping, ties, and knots achieve the soft, sophisticated [version of this] look." Think safari greens, straw bags and tan footwear (particularly booties) for this comfortable, chic trend.

Retro Glam

Be on the look out for vintage ‘60s silhouettes made from luxurious fabrics (like silk and tulle) in candy-colored pastels and hot neon hues. But to make sure these retro pieces look more contemporary than costume-y, pair your new mod minidress with sporty sneakers, for example.

"Be prepared to suit up!” says Schafer. The 2019 version of the office staple “feels freshest with looser layers and softer silhouettes. Don’t be surprised to see short suits. Waist emphasis and skirt options are also emerging." Not really your thing? Split the two halves and wear them with asymmetrical shirtdresses, edgy pearls, cardigans with oversize tortoise buttons and ruffled shirting—whatever makes the trend feel more you.
