1. Kings Island Opening Day

Celebrate the beginning of the season at Kings Island this weekend! With the park's annual opening day comes the return of blue ice cream cones, night rides on The Beast, and tons of fun for the whole family. New this year is "Camp Snoopy," a kid's area that is set to include a family-friendly rollercoaster and children's play area. Be there on Saturday from 10 a.m.- 9p.m. as the park opens for its 52nd season.

2. Spring Fest

Join the party at Burnet Woods this weekend for Spring Fest. This year, the park celebrates its 150th anniversary with live music by The Tracy Walker Band, food from We Do BBQ and many other activities. This event is free, so be sure to stop by for yoga, a composting activity with the Civic Garden Center, nature education in Trailside Nature Center, local art, crafts, activities and games for kids.

3. A Peaceful Block Party

Celebrate 4/20 at the Peaceful Block Party in Corryville! Join the Genius Flower Foundation and The Cupboard to promote peace, positivity, and unity. Enjoy giveaways, local art, vendors, rolling contest, live glass blowing and more.

4. Ault Vine Fine Wines

Enjoy favorite and fine wines curated by The Wine Merchant at Ault Park this weekend. Be there to taste selections of sparkling, champagne, red and white wines; all paired with light bites. If you get hungry, there will also be a food truck on site which will offer additional food and soft drinks for purchase. Music for this outdoor event will be performed by local artist Jeff Henry. All proceeds from the event will go back into the park, benefitting the Ault Park Advisory Council.

5. EarthFest

Looking for something fun to do this Earth Day? Check out EarthFest in Oxford. This festival brings together organizations from Miami's campus and businesses in Oxford to collaborate and promote sustainability in the community. This event is free and promises live performances and activities for people of all ages.

6. Findlay Kitchen Tasting Event

Enjoy the sights, sounds, and tastes of Findlay Market at the Findlay Kitchen Tasting Event. You can sample 18 businesses' cuisines and try unique dishes from dozens of Findlay Kitchen members and alumni. Additionally, attend the panel discussion featuring prominent Black Cincinnati chefs and artists. This event also offers tours of Findlay Kitchen from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday.

7. History in Bloom

For an afternoon filled with history, heritage and horticulture, visit History in Bloom at the Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum. This free event offers both walking tours and horse drawn carriage rides for attendees to learn more about Spring Grove’s Champion trees, beautiful blossoms, lush green foliage, art, architecture and wildlife. Guided walking tours are offered at noon, 1:30 p.m. 3:00 p.m. Reservations are not required for the tour.

What better way to celebrate Earth Day than with a hike. Enjoy the beauty of nature at Shawnee Lookout with a one-mile hike through the park. Additionally, learn about the history, cultural beauty and accomplishments of the people who called land of Shawnee Lookout home for thousands of years. This event is in collaboration with the Flying Pig Marathon 26th Mile youth program. Tickets are $2 per participant. Reserve your spot by April 19.

10. Mr. Donkey’s Tea Party
