'Too Hot To Handle's' Haley Cureton Got Kicked Out Of Her Sorority

From Women's Health

  • Haley Cureton is one of the contestants on Netflix's Too Hot To Handle.

  • She is a college student at the University of North Florida who got kicked off the show.

  • She was also kicked out of the Zeta Tau Alpha sorority in December 2019.

It’s hardly shocking that Netflix’s new reality series, Too Hot to Handle, is packed with drama. And contestant Haley Cureton definitely had her fair share of it.

It all started when Haley and Francesca Farago secretly made out and thought they got away with costing their fellow cast members $3,000. Of course, Alexa-like robot Lana totally ratted them out and, of course, the other contestants were piiiiiissed.

But…what’s Haley's story beyond her reality TV stint, and what’s she up to these days? Here’s everything you need to know about her:

Haley’s an American college student.

The cast of THTH is from all over the world, but Haley is repping the U.S. as a college student at the University of North Florida. She’s also from Jacksonville Beach, Florida, according to her Instagram profile.

She was a COED Girl of the Day.

ICYMI, the website COED features a "Girl of the Day" (a.k.a. hot woman). Haley made the cut back in 2018, so congrats on that.

Haley was in a sorority, but got kicked out.

Ya know Haley's whole intro where she talks about being in Zeta Tau Alpha at her college? Well, apparently that's no longer true.

"Zeta Tau Alpha would like to clarify that Haley Cureton is not a member of our organization. Her membership ended in December 2019, prior to the airing of Too Hot To Handle, because she did not meet her membership obligations," Senior Director of Communication Ashley Sherman told Women's Health via email. "ZTA is a values-based organization and it’s disappointing that Haley’s representation of the sorority experience does not align with the values set by our Creed."

She was also kicked off Too Hot To Handle.

Haley eventually got kicked off the show in episode five because she wasn’t getting along with other contestants and had a bad attitude about the ~experience~. Like, at one point, Haley said she wished there was an elimination ceremony so she could leave. "Insufficient progress has been made. You time in the retreat is over," Lana told Haley before she was booted. And Haley didn’t really seem to care.

Francesca did, though. "I was very sad when she left. It was extremely upsetting because she was my best friend in the house, and I confided in her," she previously told Women's Health. "She always had my back 100-percent, but it was foreseen that she was gonna go."

Haley still talks to some of her THTH cast mates.

Despite her crappy attitude, Haley still follows several (but not all) of the THTH cast on Instagram. Francesca also said they’ve been in touch post-show. "Haley and I are still friends. We don't talk as much as I would like. I think she's really busy with school," she said. "And obviously, I have a busy life as well as living on other sides of the country." (Francesca splits her time between Vancouver and Los Angeles.)

Still, she’s been plugging THTH pretty hard recently.

Haley might not have been into the show during filming, but she’s talked about it a lot on Instagram lately.

So...apparently she's come around on it?
