Tony Hawk's "Ode To Tron" Promo From 2001 Is A Sight To See

Tony wrote, "Ode to Tron: 'I am Sci Fi' promo from 2001. My switch game is sick in the digital realm." Ha! It's funny in general, but in a nostalgic, fun kind of way. But yeah, they did mess up his stance.

Just another classic, unknown relic from The Birdman, and as always it's a straight up gem. It's crazy to imagine how much of this stuff is just buried in boxes (or buried in the never-ending mess of the interwebs) waiting to be discovered.

I guess there's a chance that most people reading this understand what's happening here—admittedly, I hardly do—but that's also besides the point. This hits me because I simply think, Wooowww...different times. Also, it hits me because Tony has been doing this forever, but still remains the adoring skate rat that he is.

The comments are incredible. If you have time, please dive in!

They're also rad because Tony is super engaging with his fans, but at the same time, his fans are always so engaging. People love Tony Hawk, but some people love him, and in fairness it's not even that surprising. He's influenced countless humans—skateboarders and beyond—and he's literally still learning new tricks and pushing the limits every single day.

The pressure on his shoulders that motivates him to progress is as heavy as his bag of tricks. That's a heavy load! But he's been carrying it for decades—this video is just a reminder—and we all know there's still a ton of gas in the tank.

If anything, this is just a subtle Tony Hawk appreciation post. There can never be enough.
