Tony Hawk Continues To Replenish His Deep Bag Of Tricks Post Injury (Video)

The speed of Tony Hawk's progression during his comeback has been as mind blowing as the progression itself. From being told he’d never skate again to re-bagging his tricks one by one, every time Tony steps on his board he’s making history.

It’s like he’s relearning another trick every other day at this point. If he had a physical list of everything he wanted to re-secure, I imagine it’d be longer than Kerouac’s original On The Road scroll—the dude has decades of tricks buried in that bag and they’re all eager to get out.

But here we are. It’s happening. Patiently and confidently, Tony keeps checking trick after trick off that laundry list of mind-melters. "Haven’t had a good slob grab since my injury so I’ve been hesitant to try a few things," Tony said on Instagram. "But I made some progress yesterday with this one."

Tony is clearly both mentally and physically strong right now, because it definitely takes both to achieve what he’s currently achieving. This is no watered down comeback, this is real. It's personal. And like everything he does, he’s handling the process like a true professional.

So what trick is next in the arsenal? Honestly, don’t even bother trying to guess. You’ll end up hurting yourself. All we can do is sit back and wait. The Birdman will be landing again soon.
