Bennett officially retired from performing back in August 2021. He gave two iconic performances at New York City's Radio City Music Hall to wrap up his impressive career.

At the time, Bennett's son and manager Danny said to Variety that the decision to retire was "doctors’ orders," adding, "We’re not worried about him being able to sing. We are worried, from a physical stand point, about human nature."

In addition to his aforementioned son, Bennet is survived by his wife Susan and children Dae, Joanna and Antonia.
