TOMS Shoes Partners With & Other Stories for New Clothing Line

You know its ubiquitous slip-on, the casual-cool shoes whose One for One tagline has inspired others to adopt the “pay it forward” business model, and that have even found their way onto the Oscars red carpet. Now, get ready for its equally philanthropic, effortlessly stylish clothing line. Civic-minded shoe brand TOMS has partnered with chill Swedish retailer & Other Stories to develop a ready-to-wear collection, reports InStyle.

“I feel that & Other Stories has a firm point of view on their values, and that is something that is vital to anyone that Toms collaborates with,” TOMS founder Blake Mycoskie said in a release. Details of how exactly that firm point of view will manifest itself across the clothing line remain unknown, but all signs point to simple, laid-back Californian simplicity — with a few one-of-a-kind flourishes, of course. Early looks at the clothing line’s campaign reveal that it was shot in Los Angeles by photographer Natalie Joos and features local model and “purveyor of all things cool,” Erin Wasson. “Erin epitomizes the essence of the collection,” which & Other Stories described to Yahoo Style as “reflect[ing] so much of the magic found in Venice Beach.”

“This collab collection captures a free-spirited aesthetic that is easy to make your own. It shows a laid-back, unique and authentic silhouette which includes reinterpreted versions of some of TOMS’ classic shoe styles,” & Other Stories designer Georgine Le Toqueux explained. “This is an invitation to a strong and comfortable wardrobe filled with beautiful prints and vivid colors.”

Taking a cue from TOMS, & Other Stories, which is backed by H&M and made its U.S. debut in 2014, will support one month of English language classes through the Magic Bus Women’s Scholar Fund for every clothing item in the line sold. Though the specific launch date hasn’t been announced, the collaboration between TOMS and & Other Stories is expected to be available in selected stores and on TOMS.com and Stories.com this spring.
