Tomas Slavik Cuts Handlebars To Ride 'World's Narrowest' Bike Path

Urban downhill is full of obstacles that mirror its trail counterpart. Courses feature concrete steps instead of rocks and wooden berms instead of dirt. As it turns out, urban downhill courses also mimic the narrow gaps between trees.

Watch Tomas Slavik cut his bars to fit through a tight alleyway on his mountain bike.

In this video, Slavik cut down a set of bars and snuck through the immensely tight alleyway. Despite the need to weave around sharp corners, he was able to make it through.

Tomas Slavik is a professional rider from the Czech Republic who specializes in urban downhill. He got third at the Cerro Abajo downhill in Guanajuato, where this was filmed.

Slavik is a three-time four-cross world champion, hence the rainbow stripes on his sleeves. Slavik is frequently featured on Red Bull’s marketing materials. Watch him play a delivery rider on a massive set of stairs below.
