- Tom Holland's Spider-Man movies have his star on the rise.
- He's allegedly being considered for a role in the live-action remake of Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
- Tom nor Disney have commented on whether the rumors are true.
Tom Holland may be busy getting serious with his girlfriend Olivia Bolton, but he's also working on his resume, which is good news for all Tom Holland stans out there. Since Tom is working on a ton of new projects, that means you'll be seeing a lot more of him. While Tom has already been casted in upcoming movies like Onward, a Pixar animated film and Cherry, a film adaptation of the novel, word is that he's being eyed for yet another role, one in a Disney live-action remake. According to MovieWeb, Tom is being eyed for the role Milo Thatch, in the live-action reboot of Atlantis: The Lost Empire.
Tom would be joining the ranks of others cast in live-action Disney films, most recently Halle Bailey who's been cast as Ariel in the upcoming Little Mermaid.
If you know your Disney history, then you know Atlantis is about a museum cartographer, aka Milo, who ventures out on an expedition to find the lost empire of Atlantis. The original Atlantis premiered in theaters to disappointing box office sales, but the movie has long been regraded as a Disney classic.
Neither Tom nor Disney have commented on whether the rumors are true. But here's to hoping it is because I can totally see it!
Tom is still hot off of the premiere of his latest film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, so don't expect any comment soon. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled, though.
But if Tom doesn't work out, let me offer one more suggestion: Cole Sprouse.
I'm down for either.
