  • Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have officially left the hospital.

  • They were hospitalized after testing positive for coronavirus in Australia.

Good news, world: We have a happy update about how Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are doing. Yay! Pause your social-distancing penguin videos and new-movie streams, and allow me to fill you in.

According to Chet Hanks (Tom and Rita’s son, whom you might remember from the Golden Globes for, uh, other reasons), the Hanks family has officially left the hospital.

“They are still self-quarantined, obviously, but they are feeling a lot better so that’s a relief,” Chet said in a video. “I just want to say, anyone else out there that has loved ones or if you yourself are inflicted with the virus, my prayers go out to you, because a lot of people are suffering other than my parents right now. I just wish everyone a swift and speedy recovery.”

For the most part, Tom himself has kept his followers up to date on Instagram. This has included posting a picture of a cute kangaroo stuffed animal (the Hanks family is in Australia right now) and toast, which accidentally ignited a heated discussion about how much Vegemite is too much Vegemite. (This really is too much Vegemite, for the record.)

Most important, though, were his health updates.

“Hello folks. @RitaWilson and I want to thank everyone here Down Under who are taking such good care of us,” Tom posted four days ago. “We have Covid-19 and are in isolation so we do not spread it to anyone else. There are those for whom it could lead to a very serious illness. We are taking it one-day-at-a-time. There are things we can all do to get through this by following the advice of experts and taking care of ourselves and each other, no? Remember, despite all the current events, there is no crying in baseball. Hanx”
