Award-winning actor Tom Hanks is auctioning his customized Airstreamer of thirty years. This trailer has been on the set of Hank's classic movies like Forrest Gump and Sleepless in Seattle. On August 13, his treasured vehicle for memorizing scripts and relaxing in-between scenes can be yours for an estimated presale price ranging from $150,000 to $250,000.

Originally purchased in 1993, the 1992 Airstream Model 34 Limited Excella Travel Trailer will be on full display at the Bonham Quails Lodge Auction. According to Bonhams Magazine, Hanks no longer has the time to hop into his mini oasis during filming. "I got it in the days when movies moved slower. I had spent too much time in regular trailers with ugly décor and horribly uncomfortable furniture, so I decided to buy a brand-new Airstream shell with an interior made to my own request," Hanks explains.

The Hollywood legend has traveled across the country to about eighteen locations from Seatle to North Carolina. The trailer is completely furnished to set the stage for his perfect "home-away-from-home." Interested buyers will find a bed, a bathroom, a sofa, plenty of clever storage compartments, a dining area, and even a fireplace. Desiring minimal-fuss on design, Hanks requested the kitchen and bathroom to be the only built-ins included in the Airstream.

“More than anything, an Airstream is gorgeous and cozy, which is why everyone who visited mine went away wanting one," Hanks shared. So now that you probably want one now, too, head to the Bonham Auction this August for an unforgettable opportunity to see the cherished memorabilia of America's iconic actor. Hanks even added his signature to the Airstream's air-conditioner!
