With his divorce finalized, these Bucs are up for grabs!

Tom Brady's net worth in 2023 means he can retire quite comfortably.

After a decidedly lackluster final season with the Tampa Bay Bucs—one that may have well cost him his marriage to Gisele Bündchen—Brady, 45, announced on Feb. 1, 2023, that he is really retiring this time.

"I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning, I figured I'd just press record and let you guys know first," Brady said in a video he posted on Twitter. "I won't be longwinded. You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used mine up last year, so really thank you guys so much to every single one of you for supporting me."

"Really, thank you guys so much. My family, my friends, my teammates, my competitors—I could go on forever, there's too many. Thank you guys for allowing me to live my absolute dream. I wouldn't change a thing. Love you all."

In March 2023, however, rumors swirled that Brady may not be retiring after all, but instead heading to Miami to play for the Dolphins. He denied it, however, saying he was busy with his daughter's new rescue kitten. (Sure, Jan.)

In 2021, at the ripe, old age of 43, Brady made his 10th appearance in a Super Bowland he won, with many NFL experts calling his postseason run that year his most remarkable ever. Brady then played what everyone thought was his final game in an NFL uniform on Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022, when his Buccaneers lost to the Los Angeles Rams, 30-27, in a nail-biter of a playoff battle. A few days later, Brady announced his retirement on Instagram at the tender age of 44.

Of course, as we now know, that retirement was short-lived, and on March 13, 2022, he announced he was coming back to the Bucs for the 2022-23 NFL season.

We know that no matter what, his off-the-field assets are just as impressive and his on-field stats. Keep reading to find out just how much Brady’s got in the bank, how he’s earned his net worth and how his fortune compares to that of his supermodel ex-wife. The couple announced their divorce was final in November 2022.

How much has Tampa Bay paid Tom Brady?

In March 2020, the Bucs signed Brady to a two-year deal worth $50 million, with an additional $9 million of incentives baked in. Many of those extras have kicked in over the course of the 2021 NFL postseason. According to ESPN, Brady pocketed $500,000 for making it to the playoffs, plus an extra $500,000 for each of his two most recent wins against the Saints and the Packers.

When Brady decided to retire at the end of the 2021-22 NFL season, he reportedly had to give $16 million back to the Bucs franchise, but presumably, he was able to keep that since he returned for another season.

His salary for his abominable 2022-23 season wasn't publicly reported when his comeback was announced, but given what Tampa Bay has paid him per year so far, the best guesstimate is that it's in the $20-$30 million range.
