Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL (yes, for the second time) on Wednesday with a touching tribute on Instagram.

“I love my family, I love my teammates, I love my friends, I love my coaches, I love football, I love you all,” he captioned the post. “I am truly grateful on this day. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️”

“You only get one super emotional retirement essay, and I used that up last year,” the football legend said, referencing his “retirement” announcement in 2022.

He then got choked up thanking “every single one” of his supporters, including his family. In the carousel of photos that accompanied the video, he is seen with immediate and extended family members. In one photo, he poses with his 15-year-old son, Jack whom he shares with his ex, actress and model Bridget Moynahan.

Young Jack may very well follow in his dad’s footsteps.

“Getting out there and watching him play [football] has been so much fun for me,” he said in an episode of his podcast, Let’s Go with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray. “And I don’t give a sh*t how well he does. I just love watching him and seeing him enjoy it with his friends. And, you know, the camaraderie at a young age.”

He also shared a post-Super Bowl photo with ex Gisele Bündchen (who recently freed the nipple like the queen she is) and their kids, Benjamin Rein, 13 and Vivian, 10.

“We are blessed with beautiful and wonderful children who will continue to be the center of our world in every way,” Brady and Bündchen said in a statement after their divorce. “We will continue to work together as parents to always ensure they receive the love and attention they deserve.”

“My priority has always been and will continue to be our children whom I love with all my heart,” Bündchen confirmed. “We will continue co-parenting to give them the love, care and attention they greatly deserve.”

The sports community was moved by his post, with fans and athletes like Michael Phelps and Patrick Mahomes flooding the comments with the goat emoji.

“I’m getting teary eyed watching this. Sad to see you go. Welcome to the retirement world…. Again 😜” said fellow retiree Serena Williams.

“No question, no debate, It’s been an honor and a privilege. 🐐 PS – The newly retired group meets on the golf course every morning at 10am. Drinks are on the new guy, so bring your wallet,” said former football player JJ Watts.

It’s hard to say if this retirement will stick. But what is plain to see is Brady’s love for his kids, his family, and his support system.
