Less than a month after his retirement, it's been reported that the seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady will appear as himself in a new football-themed road trip movie titled "80 for Brady."

The film is inspired by a true story which tells of "four best friends and New England Patriots fans who take a life-changing trip to the 2017 Super Bowl LI to see their quarterback hero, Tom Brady play and the chaos that ensues as they navigate the wilds of the biggest sporting event in the country. Lily Tomlin, Jane Fonda, Rita Moreno, and Sally Field will play the quartet," wrote The Hollywood Reporter who broke the news.

Brady was heavily involved since the ideation of the project and worked closely with Donna Gigliotti, the producer behind the Oscar-winning movies Silver Linings Playbook and Shakespeare in Love, to create the film. Kicks and The Climb director Kyle Marvin will serve as executive director.

While the forthcoming film may be Brady's first big role in a Hollywood production, he's previously made cameo appearances in Entourage, Ted 2, Family Guy, and more.

Stay tuned for more details to be announced.
