The GOAT took to Instagram in hopes to ease the pain of the eager fan, but reaching out to digital crypto trader FTX to donate a Bitcoin to a charity of choice of the fan. Since Brady made his announcement to go back to the NFL, the value of the football collapsed exponentially the day after.

In Brady's Instagram, he wrote, "Hey @ftx_official … could we donate a Bitcoin to the charity of this person's choice?!" The caption accompanied a video of the said touchdown pass he threw to Mike Evans on January 23 in a playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams. Brady then announced his retirement on February 1st but retracted on March 13. The video of the touchdown was edited so that the football was made to look like a Bitcoin. According to an appraiser, the ball is currently worth only $20,000 USD.
