Visiting the zoo is always a fun time, but it gets a lot better whenever there's a baby animal to see. Whether it's a flock of newly-hatched parrots or a young spider monkey attached to its mother's back, the new baby always steals the show. That's just how the science of cuteness works!

In Ohio, the Toledo Zoo recently introduced everyone to Franklin, the baby giraffe. He wasn't spending time with the rest of the herd quite yet, but the adult giraffes couldn't help but sneak a peek on September 20.  Thankfully, @thetoledozoo's social media person knew the perfect audio to add to the video!

What did we tell you--wasn't the audio perfect? The curious giraffes couldn't mind their own business any longer, and honestly, neither could we. Franklin is beyond precious, and it's time to share that sweet mug with the world.

"I love how baby giraffes look bored/disappointed almost all the time," commented @bethiepoo35. LMAO, you're so right! The Toledo Zoo calls this "Resting Giraffe Face (RGF)," but we just call it adorable. Honestly, even the adult giraffes looked like they were making a face, so sass must run in the herd!

Franklin the Masai giraffe was born on September 9 to proud parents Tuli and Rocket. The 165-pound calf stayed with mom Tuli off-exhibit for a few weeks while the two got to know one another. More recently, though, he was introduced to the rest of the giraffe herd!

What a happy little guy! Watching the baby giraffe walk around the enclosure could put a smile on any face. We're positively jealous of everyone who gets to visit the zoo--and him!
