Todd Chrisley Responds to Claims About His Sexuality and Past Infidelity
The reality star addressed the rumors during the latest episode of the 'Chrisley Confessions' podcast.
Todd Chrisley is clearing up speculation amid rumors that he had an affair with his former business partner, Mark Braddock.
During the latest episode of the "Chrisley Confessions" podcast, Todd—who typically co-hosts with his wife Julie Chrisley—was instead joined by the pair's son Chase Chrisley, as Todd opened up about Braddock's previous claims that they had an affair.
While the reality star insisted that the "gay rumor" never "bothered" him, he admitted to being offended by the rumors only for the very idea that he would ever be with someone like Braddock.
"What's insulted me the most is that, out of all these 54 years, for me to finally be accused of being with a man, it would be someone who looked like Mark Braddock," he quipped on the podcast, per Insider. "A toad. Someone that looks like a thumb. Someone who says he's only had sex with his wife and me."
"Let me tell you something. I could understand if you'd have had sex with me, it would drive you crazy. I get that," Todd joked to his son. "There have been many who have been d–knotized by your daddy."
Todd later clarified that the claims were nothing but "wishful thinking" on Braddock's part. He also added that the "most insulting" part of it all was that Braddock insisted their alleged affair was "just something he wanted to try."
"I ain't that small spoon at Baskin Robbins," Todd said. "I'm the whole scoop. You don't get to just sample here."
Braddock previously testified against both Todd and Julie during their fraud trial, claiming that he helped Todd commit crimes as result of their alleged "intimate" relationship, the outlet reported.
"We had a personal relationship of an intimate nature," Braddock said at the time. "I would do whatever he needed to get done."
In his testimony, Braddock claimed that his personal relationship with the Chrisley Knows Best star lasted for about a year before they went on to have a business relationship and "brotherhood" until their final fallout in 2012. He also explained that his romantic feelings for Todd lasted long after the affair, and served as part of the motivation for him to get involved in the Chrisley's fraudulent schemes.
He also alleged that he and Todd paid an anonymous blackmailer $38,000 in cash after receiving a threat to expose their relationship.
In June 2022, the Chrisleys were found guilty of tax evasion, bank and wire fraud and conspiracy. Julie was sentenced to seven years in prison while Todd received a 12-year prison sentence. They are ordered to report to prison later this month, and have reportedly already filed appeals for both of their convictions.
