‘Today’ Viewers Declare Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager ‘BFF Goals’ in Heartwarming Video

Today with Hoda & Jenna fans are declaring Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager “BFF goals” after witnessing a heartwarming moment between the show’s co-hosts.

The moment was captured on video during the March 1 show as Bush Hager celebrated five years of her Read with Jenna book club. Bush Hager has selected 63 books since launching the club—41 of which were New York Times bestsellers.

Kotb and Bush Hager celebrated the anniversary with fellow Today co-hosts Al Roker, Carson Daly and Craig Melvin outside the Today studio, where some of the authors whose works Bush Hager selected were busy boxing up books to ship to 50 libraries across the U.S. in recognition of Read Across America Day.

“Can we just give an ‘attagirl’ to Jenna Bush Hager for a minute, too? Kotb asked her fellow Today stars. She described the book club as a “juggernaut” and noted, “When I see a ‘Read with Jenna’ sticker, I want it.”

Later in the segment, Kotb told Bush Hager that the Today team is “so proud of what you’ve accomplished.”

“You know who else is proud of you? Take a look,” Kotb added before the show transitioned to a pre-recorded video message from Bush Hager’s mom, former first lady Laura Bush.

As Bush congratulated her daughter on the book club’s success, Bush Hager teared up onscreen. Kotb was just out of frame, but fans watching the show could see Kotb’s arm as she gently rubbed Bush Hager’s back to comfort her.

Today with Hoda & Jenna later shared the sweet moment on Instagram with the caption, “Everyone deserves a friend who will celebrate your most joyful moments and accomplishments.”

Fans overwhelmingly agreed as they cheered for the friendship.

“A true friend applauds and supports you when you are center stage,” one fan commented.

"Hoda is everyone’s biggest cheer leader,” wrote another, adding, “We all need to be like Hoda!!”

One Instagram user said they “love their friendship,” while another described the Kotb-Bush Hager bond as “Ultimate BFF goals!”
