This year, Today's Jenna Bush Hager dedicated International Women's Day to a few very important ladies in her life.

Ahead of the special day, the NBC co-host posted a video on Instagram of herself praising her mother, Laura Bush, and two late grandmothers, Barbara Bush and Jenna Welch.

"Barbara [Jenna's twin sister] and I are both named after our grandmothers, and we always think that they are the ones that taught us how to use our voices to do good," Jenna said. "They were very, very different, and they taught us how to do so in such different ways. But whenever I think about women who've taught me how to be a woman, it is my mom and my grandmothers that I think about."

Over the past few years, the Today anchor has dedicated several heartfelt posts to her grandmothers. In November 2018, she shared a photo of herself holding onto her grandma Jenna's hand. "She never graduated from college but never stopped learning: she taught me every constellation in the night sky and about beautiful foreign lands she would never get [to] visit," the morning show personality captioned her Instagram at the time. Jenna's maternal grandma died on May 10, 2019.

On April 17, 2019 — one year after Barbara's death — Jenna posted a photo of her paternal grandma and wrote, "Missing you Ganny today and everyday. One year without our enforcer — hard [to] believe. You made us better and we love you more than tongue can tell. ❤️✨."

Jenna's great love for her grandparents has prompted her to pen a new book called Everything Beautiful in Its Time: Seasons of Love and Loss, which will highlight the lessons she's learned from them over the years.

"I wrote a book in the year I lost three of my grandparents [President George H.W. Bush died on November 30, 2018], and it's really just a love letter to them," she previously told Good Housekeeping. "It's because I love them so much ... anybody who has lost somebody they love hopefully will enjoy it."

The book will officially hit shelves on April 28 (though, it is available to pre-order now).

“As long as I’m alive, my grandparents will not be forgotten ... I hear their voices in the letters they sent me and in my memories, "Jenna's book description reads. "They offer comfort, support, and guidance, and I will listen to them always."
