'Today' Star Hoda Kotb Sparks Fan Debate After Calling Out Jenna Bush Hager on Live TV

Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager often share similar opinions while sitting at the news desk on the Today show. But in a surprise debate about etiquette, the twosome seemed to have hilarious yet differing thoughts.

In a video uploaded on Today With Hoda and Jenna's official TikTok, fans saw them discuss their feelings about dinner party etiquette. The clip featured Hoda reading a fan-submitted question, in which the person questioned if a guest could eat off a cheese plate instead of waiting for others to arrive for the festivities. As she side-eyed the Making Space podcast host while reading the teleprompter, Jenna couldn't help but feel like she was being subtly targeted for her own eating habits.

"Did you submit this question?" she asked Hoda on the air. "No, I did not. However, I think the answer is yeah," Hoda replied.

As soon as Hoda called her out on the subject, Jenna couldn't believe what she heard. What's more, Hoda's revelation led the Sisters First author to try and defend herself over her party food manners.

"Whoa, this feels like it's directed at me," Jenna expressed directly to the camera.

"Girl, you can have all you want!" Hoda quipped back. "Make your own on the side. Just leave the cheese plate here. Here's a paper plate with some cheese and crackers. You eat that."

When folks saw the funny exchange between the co-hosts, they couldn't help but laugh about Hoda and Jenna's quasi-quarrel. What's more, the interaction sparked a debate between viewers over which TV personality was right in the comments.

"Yeah, please don't touch the food until everyone arrives! 😂," one person wrote on TikTok while siding with Hoda. "😂😂😂 I'm with you, Jenna. All bets are off when I see cheese lol," another chimed in. "An alternative was to cover the cheese platter with Reynolds’s plastic wrap until the guests arrive. Prepare a side snack for your kind helper," a different follower suggested.
