  • Jenna told Good Housekeeping that the book is written to honor her late grandparents, President George H.W. Bush, First Lady Barbara Bush, and her maternal grandmother, Jenna Welch.

Jenna Bush Hager has officially decided to push back the release date of her new book and her book tour.

The Today show star explained in a recent Instagram post that she would "love nothing more" than to host her spring book tour for Everything Beautiful in Its Time: Seasons of Love and Loss, which was originally set to come out in late April. But due to the ongoing outbreak of the coronavirus, she realizes that safety is the most important thing during this time.

"We're moving the book [launch date] to September 15th, and the tour to September/October. Your purchase *will* be honored then — look out for an email shortly," Jenna wrote to her fans. "In the meantime, I want you to know that this community of book lovers and friends means so much to me. Let's support each other and find a safe way forward."

Not surprisingly, the majority of Jenna's fans were on her side about the decision. "Thanks Jenna. Can’t wait to see you in Red Bank, NJ in Sept!!📚," one fan wrote. "I’m sad not to see you next month, but am so thankful that you’ve rescheduled instead of canceling! Can’t wait for fall! ❤️❤️❤️," another noted, while a different fan said they "totally understand."

Back in February, Jenna told Good Housekeeping that the book is meant to be a beautiful tribute to her late grandparents, former President George H.W. Bush, First Lady Barbara Bush, and her maternal grandmother, Jenna Welch.

"I wrote a book in the year I lost three of my grandparents, and it's really just a love letter to them," she explained. "It's because I love them so much ... anybody who has lost somebody they love hopefully will enjoy it."

As noted in her Instagram post above, Jenna will be making book tour stops in New Jersey, Connecticut, Texas, Kentucky, Ohio, and more. She encourages her fans to visit her website for more info about her upcoming book and tour dates.
