Al Roker and his wife, Deborah Roberts, are soaking up every second they get with their son Nick.

On September 25, the Today show co-host posted the heartwarming moment when he and Deborah reunited with their youngest child for the first time in a while. As fans may know, Nick headed off to college earlier this summer. Naturally, the proud parents were excited to see him again. Among the snaps was also one of the father-son duo beaming with their arms around one another in what looks to be Nick's dorm room.

"It was soooo good getting to see our Nick on campus for #familyweekend and see him with his pals. #theadventurecontinues," the NBC star captioned the Instagram pictures.

Deborah also commemorated the sweet encounter with a photo captioned, "First fall weekend. First check in with our newest (and happy) college student. So proud!"

Today show fans wasted no time taking to the comments section for both Al's Instagram and Deborah's tweet to chime in with their thoughts.

"I’m happy Nick is having a wonderful freshman year Al!," one person wrote on Instagram. "College life appears to agree with Nick. Go Nick! You all look so happy," another echoed. "Great smiles all around! Congrats!" a different fan tweeted.

Many folks who follow Al and/or Deborah know how big of an achievement it was for the entire family when Nick got accepted back in the spring of 2021.

His learning disabilities have been at the center of important conversations. Now, it's evident that all of their advocating has helped Nick embrace his potential. Nick himself has never shied away from speaking about his experiences. He received a lot of positive attention back in May when he gave a touching sermon at his church about working with his learning disabilities to achieve his dreams.

Nevertheless, the proud parents certainly miss their youngest son. But Al and Deborah don't need to worry — Thanksgiving break will be here before they know it!
