'Today' Fans Are Buzzing About the Quarantine Haircut Hoda Kotb Gave Joel Schiffman

Hoda Kotb isn't just an amazing TV anchor — apparently, she's also great at hairstylist.

The quarantine trim the Today show star gave her fiancé, Joel Schiffman, on Mother's Day is exhibit A. On Tuesday's fourth hour of Today, Hoda showed her co-star Jenna Bush Hager the results of her taking the clippers to Joel's head. As you can see from the photos in the clip below, Hoda totally nailed it.

When Jenna asked her co-star if she preferred Joel with longer or or shorter hair, Hoda replied, "I like him any way he likes to be."

“He looks great both ways," Hoda said. She later added, "The great thing about Joel is, he don’t care."

What's more, Hoda also said her daughter Haley was right there ready to help.

"She had a paintbrush," Hoda recalled while chuckling. "She was trying to paint his hair back on. That’s what she was doing.”

The results are pretty impressive given that Hoda said she knew nothing about clippers before giving her fiancé a buzz. "He was like, ‘Try the three or the four,’ and I was like, ‘Do you just flip it?’"

Clearly, Hoda figured it out in the end. After seeing Joel's new 'do, Today fans took to Twitter to compliment her work. "You did a great job, he even looks younger!" one fan tweeted. "Not bad!" another said. A different fan took things one step further, claiming that Joel now looked "sexier."

Joel's trim aside, Jenna told her co-star that she's also impressed with Hoda's at-home makeup and hair-dyeing skills.

"Had somebody told me a couple months ago that you would do your own hair beautifully, you would dye it, your makeup would always look beautiful, and you could cut Joel's hair," Jenna said while admiring Hoda. "You're looking so great."
