Dylan Dreyer on 'Today'

Dylan Dreyer is sharing some adorable snapshots of her first ski trip with her three young kids.

The Today show co-host’s family traveled to Rocking Horse Ranch Resort in Highland, N.Y., for a weekend getaway. Dreyer, 42, posted two photos and two videos on Instagram on Feb. 24 to provide a behind-the-scenes look at what her sons’ first ski experience was like.

“Our first attempt taking the boys skiing,” she wrote in her caption. “Some took to it better than others!”

The first photo shows all three of Dreyer’s sons standing in the snow wearing helmets, cold weather clothing and skis on their feet. Calvin, who is Dreyer’s oldest son at 7, squints at the camera with what appears to be an uncertain look on his face. Her two younger sons—Oliver, 4, and Russell, 2—seem to be concentrating on their skis as they keep their gazes focused on the ground.

Next in the post are two video clips. The first shows Calvin balancing on his skis as he slides his way down a gradual slope. The second shows Oliver receiving a bit more guidance from his ski instructor, who slides backward while holding onto the ends of his skis. Oliver’s instructor lets go by the end of the clip, allowing the young boy to try skiing on his own while staying close.

The final photo shows a cranky-looking Russell, who is known by his nickname “Rusty” among Today viewers. Rusty is lying on the snow in his blue snowsuit, his skis no longer on his feet. As some fans noted, he looks “ready for a cocoa and nap.”

“I’m with Rusty,” one fan joked, while another said, "Same, Rusty. Same.” Some fans laughed at the final “relatable” photo of Rusty, writing, “That would be me.” Others assured Dreyer that he “will eventually love” to ski and urged her to give the kids “time” to get used to the sport.

“They’ll love it,” one person wrote. “You’re giving them the opportunity to find out if it’s for them.”
