Toby Keith promised fans that he was trying to get back to the stage, and he made good on those words sooner than anyone expected! The 61-year-old country singer was diagnosed with stomach cancer in the fall of 2021, and less than two years later, he took the stage on consecutive nights for two-hour-long concerts.

Last month, the "I Love This Bar" singer gave a health update to The Oklahoman before his Toby Keith & Friends Golf Tournament (a fundraiser for children with cancer). He said, that he is continuing chemotherapy and immunotherapy treatments, and his tumor had shrunk by a third. He said, "I'm feeling pretty good. Basically, everything is in a real positive trend." He continued, "I'm thinking about bringing the band in and setting up, playing two or three days somewhere just to see if I can get through two hours."

A few weeks later, Toby did just that. The singer made a surprise performance at Hollywood Corners, his bar in Norman, Oklahoma. According to his official Instagram account, "Toby‘s first rehearsal turned into a 2 1/2 hour pop-up show. He sang all the hits plus the Bus Songs…Toby is back!"

The next night, Toby once again shared photos from the stage. This time, he is seen beaming alongside songwriter Scotty Emerick, who penned many of Toby's hits. The caption reads, "It felt so right, Toby had to do it twice. Two nights in a row at @hollywoodcorners. Writing buddy @scottyemerick joined Toby. Nights to remember! Toby’s back!"

Fans rushed to the comments section to praise Toby and send prayers for his continued recovery. They left messages like, "Yes yes yes!!!!! The Legend is back ❤️" and "HELL YA TOOOOOBY! WELCOME ❤️BACK! WE’VE MISSED YOU & HAVE PRAYED FOR YOU EVERY DAY!! LET’S PARTY 🥃🥃🥃." One fan wrote, "So damn heartwarming to see this! Sometimes pictures tell a story and this one does it! 😍," and another commented, "Wow how awesome is that, not just 1 but 2 nights in a row! TK, you are phenomenal. Wishing you all the best. Continued prayers for the best recovery possible. God is good, always!"

We love seeing Toby smiling on stage and hope he continues his road to recovery!
